♕ #ProdottiPRO(va) 2016 ~ What Happened in the End? ♕
{feat. Miki in the Pinkland & A Lost Girl}

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts, those past days have been pretty busy - spent celebrating with family and friends, princess-ing around in my new princess dress (which you might have seen on my Instagram, if you follow me there). I have my Christmas look to post (and tonight's makeup too!) but it will be part of the 2017 agenda!

Since this year is about to end, it's time to make some balances. And I'm going to do so with a very special post, in collaboration with two amazing ladies: Misato - A Lost Girl (loves make up!) and Miki - Miki In The Pinkland. Years ago Miki created a tag called "Prodotti PRO(va)", a nice pun that in English could be translated in "Products [I want to] try". This tag consist in listing all the products we want to try during the year; mind you, it's not a mere wishlist, but a well thought out list of products we are really willing to try during the year. At the end of the year, we like to make a sort of report, to see what happened. And that's what today's post is about! I'm going to review my 2016 list and tell you what I did try and what I didn't... And why.
It's always so much fun, hope you'll enjoy it too! (Misato's post is here and Miki's here)

♕ Autumn 2016 Most Played ♕

Winter is just begun, which means it's Most Played time! To be more precise, it's time I show you my Autumn most used products!
Must say, I don't have a huge bunch of products to show you - I didn't buy anything new in terms of skincare, so this post is going to be pretty short I guess. And quite mono-thematic, since is all makeup stuff.

♕ Curved Liner Make Up ♕
{My Favourite Make Up Look of 2016}

I finally - finally - get to show you my favourite look I made during 2016! I kept postponing it, for months and months - but now, since the year is almost over, is definitely time to write a blog post about it!

It's a remake of a look by @swayzemorgan on Instagram (check her out, this lady is seriously skilled!): I kept the black and white curved liner design, but changed the colour combination of the look (hers featured pinks and purple shades). I love this look to the point that I decided to put it on the blog's home page, on the author's widget (as you probably already noticed!) ♥

♕ Fairy Queen Make Up ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Goldust Collection}

I'm really excited about the look I'm going to show you today! It features my favourite piece of the Goldust Collection by NABLA Cosmetics aka the Dazzle Liner in Klimt. Since I first saw it, I knew I had to do a look just for it, focused on it, to show and enhance its beauty.

Even thought I didn't have any particular inspiration, I realized this look gives a lot of fairy vibes - with all the tiny dots and swirls. The more I look at it, the more it makes me feel like a Fairy Queen - if I were a fairy queen, I would wear this makeup look every single day... Hence the title ;D

♕ Goldust MakeUp #1: Soft Shades & Gold Liner ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Goldust Collection}

Today I'm going to show you the first makeup look I made a couple of days ago to try the new shades from NABLA's Goldust Collection (here's my haul post!). I used all the four shadows I bought (Luna, Snowberry, Glasswork, Danae) plus the gold Dazzle Liner - which is my new love and main focus of this look.

♕ Haul ♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Goldust Collection ♕

Yesterday was the first day of December - which means two things: Christmas is right around the corner, and NABLA's new winter collection - the Goldust Collection - just debuted. I've been at the local seller shop right away, so I had the chance to see all the products featured in this collection - and , while I was at it, I also purchased something, which I'm going to show you in this post.

This year's winter collection is seriously huge, the biggest ever released until now. Eight eyeshadows, one Crème Shadows, two Blossom Blushes, five Dive Crime lipsticks, two new limited edition Liberty palettes and - the icing on the cake - a brand new product: a liquid eyeliner!

♕ Pantone Inspired ~ Rose Quartz & Serenity MakeUp ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Potion Paradise Collection}

Third look I made using the Potion Paradise Collection by NABLA Cosmetics - just in part this time though! I've always wanted to do a makeup look using the Rose Quartz and Serenity Pantone colours, and I felt like this was the time to try it! I used both Crème Shadows and pressed eyeshadows by NABLA to achieve this look!

♕ Periwinkle in Autumn ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Potion Paradise Collection}

Here is the second look I made using the new Potion Paradise Collection by NABLA Cosmetics! This time I wanted to use as much of the new shades as I could - and I ended up using 5 out of 6. I was about to use the sixth too, but gave up because I thought it was  a little too much (plus I didn't know were to place it XD).

Overall it's a pretty autumn-like look, so many warm tones, muted shades - with a touch of periwinkle that brings some spring vibes to the whole look!

♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Potion Paradise Collection ♕
{Overview, Swatches, First Impressions}

{Disclaimer: this post is a first impressions/preview about a product I got for free as press sample. I'd like to thank NABLA Cosmetics for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation policy doesn't change and is always based on real use and in-depth testing of the product(s)}

It's been a while since NABLA Cosmetics launched new colours for their Crème Shadow range. It debuted about one year ago with six shades, then three new ones were added with the winter Artika collection and one more, shortly after, was introduced to celebrate NABLA's birthday in December. No new adds since then - until now.

The Potion Paradise Collection features six new shades, five of them being shimmery and just one completely matte. One of them is actually the cream version of a preexisting eyeshadow, but the other five are completely new, original colours!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to post this overview earlier, I always try to post close to the launch day (usually slightly after)... Sadly, this time the weather has been really inclement (and still is, honestly), making nearly impossible for me to take any good pictures for several days in a row. Which is a problem, when you're a beauty blogger and you rely on natural light alone.
Anyway, I finally made it! Just in time - the traditional launching promo ends tonight, but hopefully this overview could still be useful to some of you, for future purchasing!

Potion Paradise
A collection where the Apollonian meets the Dionysian in a retro-futuristic pastel-shaded scenario.
Where the past runs towards the future in a rush that encodes a new concept of equilibrium.
A post-modern collection stating new codes in the name of freedom of expression.
Are you ready to discover all the secrets of these new 6 Crème Shadow?

♕ Fairy Wings ♕ Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Potion Paradise Collection ♕

When it comes to new make up collections (or just new entries in my stash) I like to write a full overview first, and then I go on and post my makeup looks featuring said products. Well, things didn't go as I planned this time with the new Potion Paradise Collection by NABLA Cosmetics.

Wondering what went wrong? Nothing serious, just a full week of bad, awful weather. And I mean AWFUL. Rain, rain, rain, non stop since last Sunday. Mind you, I usually enjoy rain - it relaxes me a lot - but this time it really felt unwelcome. Being a blogger, I have to relay on sun & natural light - which are crucial to capture the colours of the products and to get the best swatches possible.
I waited and waited, but the weather forecast is pretty depressing right now: no sun for the next few days or even for the whole week. This will drive me crazy -.-

Anyway, I have all the new Crème Shadows here, patiently awaiting to be introduced to you... Since I managed to use some of them in a look a couple of days ago (with poor lighting results though) I thought I could start by posting this makeup first, while I wait for the sun to come back ç_ç I'll write my first impressions here and there, since I am at it.

♕ Rainbow Eyeliner ♕
{100 Days of Make Up ~ Day 75}

I've always wanted to try rainbow eyeliner - love how it looks, so bright and colorful - and I finally had the chance during the 100 Days of Make Up Challenge. It was really fun - but find all the right shades was quite challenging, to be honest XD I literally had to dig into my pigments stash, trying to find something I could use for red, yellow and orange. The other colours weren't such a big deal, I have tons of blues and greens and purple - but it the end I manage to put together the legendary rainbow eyeliner XD

♕ Starry Night Sky ♕
{100 Days of Make Up ~ Day 68}

Today's look was part of 100 Days of Make Up Challenge and it's probably the most liked between all the one hundred looks I made back then. Which still surprise me a bit, because is such a simple look I made in, like, less than 20 minutes... With just a handful of eyeshadows and a glittery pigment that added a very glowing touch to the whole look - and probably is the main reason of its great appreciation.

♕ Empties #10 ♕

Another series I've neglected during the past months, along with the Most Played, is this one - regarding the used-up products. I just kept procrastinating and procrastinating - but now, after one year, I'm ready to get back on track. I kept almost all the empties in a bag (I just threw away most of the doubles) so I'm able to show you what I used up... And I'll try to be more consistent in the upcoming months ^^"

♕ Halloween 2016 ♕ Dark Little Mermaid ♕

Happy Halloween everyone! Today I'm going to show you the last look I made to celebrate Halloween 2016 - the final one in this small series of non-creepy, non-spooky and non-bloody makeup looks XD

This is the most recent and new look I made for the disneyncolor makeup challenge that takes places on Instagram every month. This time they chose the Dark Disney Princesses theme - to my great relief, did I mention I'm not into scary looks? XD
Unfortunately I had a crazy busy week and I couldn't do them all, but at the same time I couldn't skip my favourite princess - no matter what.

I've already done a Dark Princess Ariel look less than one year ago (here it is!), so this time I decided to go for a Dark Little Mermaid look - same character, same princess, different versions ;D

sabato 29 ottobre 2016

♕ Halloween 2016 ♕ Joker ~ Suicide Squad ♕

When I was asked to do Harley Quinn's inspired look, I knew I had to do also a Joker inspired look - they're "the King and Queen of Gotham City", after all. Also, I liked Jared Leto's Joker a lot - definitely my favourite Joker so far - sooo I couldn't leave him out u.u
And, since Halloween is approaching so fast, I thought this could be part of this year's Halloween series ;D

venerdì 28 ottobre 2016

♕ Halloween 2016 ♕ Harley Quinn ~ Suicide Squad ♕

Second Halloween look, featuring a trending character that is surely going to be one of the most popular Halloween costume this year: Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad movie!
This was requested on Instagram by one of my followers, which really made me happy - I love requests and had so much fun creating this look!

♕ Halloween 2016 ♕ Mermaid Look ♕

I've just realized that Halloween is right around the corner - and I haven't posted any of the related looks I planned yet! D: And I have, like, 4 makeup I put aside to celebrate Halloween - plus one more unreleased on my Instagram yet. And now I have less than one week left. Greeeeat.

Okay, enough with this rant. Let's start this small Halloween series!
As I said, I made some of these looks during the past months - and then saved them for Halloween. Must say, I'm not into creepy, bloody and scary looks - I'm really sensitive, even though I know it's just fake blood and wax I get scared by SFX looks XD So, sorry in advance if my makeup looks might result a little too "quiet" for Halloween XD

I made today's look during the 100 Days of Make Up challenge back on May, inspired by an amazing mermaid makeup by lucinda212 on Instagram (check her out, she's beyond skilled and talented!).

♕ Jewel Eyeliner ♕
{100 Days of Make Up ~ Day 33}

During the 100 Days of Make Up Challenge I learnt to experiment and play with makeup like I never did in the past. I tried different techniques and styles - sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing. I also learnt to improvise, even on those days when I had zero idea and inspiration. The makeup look I'm going to show you today was born on one of those days... And turned out pretty cool! I used crystals to create a jewel eyeliner - hence the title!

♕ Summer Most Played ♕

I haven't written any Most Played post during the last year - shame on me, shame on my cow. I don't even know why, these kind of posts are so fun to write and also to read. Anyway, after the longest time ever, I finally managed to put together and post one - yay me! #Teammostplayed power u.u

Before we get started, I want to explain how I'm going to handle & schedule my Most Played posts from now on. I'd love to post monthly like I used to - and like it is supposed to be - but I seem unable to do so (meaning that I tend to procrastinate and end up with two/three months piled up). Also I don't switch products that often, and when it happens it depends on new launches, personal necessities... Thus, I may not have new stuff to include each month - resulting in not-so-exciting posts.
That being said, I decided to post one Most Played every three months: basically it'll became a seasonal appointment where I'll gather all the products I used the most - both favourites and non favourites, mind you. I think this schedule will work better for me, let's start this new adventure with my Summer Most Played (I know I'm waaay late with this, but better later then never right?)

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Dark Siren Eyes ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Today's makeup is the last one I made using only the eyeshadows from the Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics - don't worry though, this series is not ended at all! I will never, never run out of mermaid looks ;D

This final look features deep shades, bright eyeliner, both sparkly and matte shadows - makes me think of sirens, dangerous enchantresses of the deepest and darkest seas. I'm so excited to be able to finally post it here, I love this makeup so much *_*

venerdì 14 ottobre 2016

♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Brow Universe ♕ Brow Pot & Brow Divine ♕
{Overview, Swatches, First Impressions}

{Disclaimer: this post is a first impressions/preview about a product I got for free as press sample. I'd like to thank NABLA Cosmetics for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation policy doesn't change and is always based on real usage of the product(s)}

Over the last one year and a half I became very interested in eyebrows, I gradually learnt how to shape and define them - mainly by using a pencil, but I also used eyeshadows for a short amount of time. Now, doing my eyebrows is a step in my daily routine I never, never skip.
So, needless to say, when NABLA Cosmetics announced the upcoming launch of their new eyebrow product I rejoiced right away! (They already have a brow product in their range actually - the Brow Divine pencils - but I can't relay on those because there's no shade for red hairs, sadly.)

And I got even more excited when I learnt that this new product was a cream - perfect timing, as I'm using up my currently brow pencil and I was taking into consideration switching to cream/gel.
Please welcome the new Brow Pot range, a brow cream that features a waterproof and long-lasting formula.

♕ Peacock Eyes ♕
{100 Days of Make Up ~ Day 29}

Today I'm going to start posting again some of the make up I created for the 100 Days of Make Up Challenge - I knew I said I wanted to write a blog post for each one, but I soon realized that it was pretty much a mission impossible. For two reasons: first, the huge amount of time needed to post one hundred different looks; second, I keep doing new looks almost every day or so - meaning that if I focus only on this "old" series I'd leave behind the newer ones. And so on.

I came to the conclusion that I needed to catch up quickly - so I did a massive selection, keeping just an handful of looks to post here. I really hope to go through them in a couple of months at most.

Let's get started with today's look - as you can tell, inspired by a peacock feather!

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Aquamarine ♕

I'm baaack! And so is The Mermaid Series! *_*
I'm sorry for the lack of posts last week, but I spent my spare time planning and re-planning my blog schedule - I've plenty of makeup looks, plus empties, summer favourites/most played and many reviews to post, but I had to sort them out a bit due to my decision to write in English only from now on.

Today I'm going to show you another mermaid makeup, this time inspired by the well-known mermaid movie Aquamarine. No need to say that is one of my favourite movies in the whole world :p

♕ English takes over the blog: bye Italian! ♕

Ciao Principesse,

Risposta: no.

My dear Princesses,

as the title says, I'm switching from bilingualism to English only. In the past I used to write only in Italian, but then I decided to add English, both to practice but also to be able to be read all around the world.

Thing is, writing in two different languages is quite challenging and time-consuming: it takes twice the amount of time and energies required, sometimes even more. Also, the longest the post, the hardest to read (both for you and me). Longer articles had to be written separately, resulting in one post in one language, and another post featuring the other language. Crazy, hard-to-keep-up schedule on one hand, and the difficulties of the bilingualism on the other. I was starting to feel stressed - and I've never wanted my blog to be stressful! So I definitely need to find a solution - quickly.

I realized how easier it would be if I went back to the one-language-only when I was writing those pretty long posts. I noticed how quickly I wrote, no stress, quite relaxed - even thought I was writing a really long and articulate post. The thing that has been holding me back for all this time was an Hamletic doubt: "should I choose Italian or English?"
My only option, apart from this, was to slow down and post less - but I already have a poor schedule, honestly, and I actually aim to post more frequently!
This is why, after a lot of thinking, the "lest go back to one language only" option won - and so did the English option. Hardest choice ever, must say.

I know, switching from my native language and bilingualism to another language might seem weird and nonfunctional, but in the end it's the option that hopefully will works best for me: after more than one year of bilingualism I didn't feel like giving up on English. I love this language, I love speaking, reading, writing and listening to it - plus, it's understood pretty much worldwide (ish).
I've been writing in English on my Instagram for a couple of years now and so far it worked just fine (I know it's a very different platform, but bear with me) and thus I feel comfortable with switching language in here.

Of course I'm quite sad of quitting writing in my native language - as I said, it was an hard decision to take. If I had more spare time I'd definitely keep on writing in both languages - but to do so I'd need 36-hours days, at least. And still, that would not resolve the difficulties in terms of longer posts, harder to be read.

So, starting from the next post, I'll write only in English. Hopefully this will allow me to be way more productive and consistent! Wish me luck and stay tuned, I'll talk to you all very soon!

XOXO

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ BombShell Eyes ♕

In just one week the new BombShell brush set by Spectrum Collections will be officialy be launched - so I thought I'd post this look I made a while back, inspired by this new set's colour way. (Read my BombShell preview here). I always enjoy doing this kind of inspired looks, because Spectrum brushes always come with the most fun colour ways - it's challenging!

♕ Preview ♕ Spectrum Collections ~ BombShell Brush Set ♕
{Overview, Comparazioni, Prime Impressioni}

[Looking for the English version? Please click here!]

{Questo post illustra prime impressioni riguardo un prodotto che mi è stato mandato in prova valutativa dalla ditta che lo produce. Ringrazio Spectrum Collections per l’opportunità, la mia politica valutativa tuttavia non cambia e si basa come sempre sulla reale utilizzazione del prodotto - vedasi la pagina Disclaimer del blog.}

♕ Preview ♕ Spectrum Collections ~ BombShell Brush Set ♕
{Overview, Comparisons, First Impressions}

{Disclaimer: this post is a first impressions about a product sent for free to me by the brand. I'd like to thank Spectrum Collections for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation policy doesn't change and is always based on real usage of the product(s)}

When Spectrum Collections, back on July, hinted that a new mermaid inspired brush set was on its was, the hype went sky high right away. This brand is well known for its
glamorous, stylish and overall beautiful designs - so everyone (me included) literally went crazy, knowing that something really amazing was about to be revealed.
And, of course, it totally was.

After the mermazing Glam Clam the darker Siren Set and the pure Marbleous set, Spectrum Collections created the chic and classy BombShell Brush Set - which I'm really thrilled to show you today!

This new set was revealed on July 21th in a mermaid themed event that took place in Soho, London. Sadly, I live way too far to be able to attend - but I was so luck to be given the opportunity to try them in order to write a preview post! *_*
I've waited for the launch date to be disclosed to publish this post, and we're actually sooo close to it: this beauty is launching on September 23rd! Who's excited??
Meanwhile, I really hope you'll enjoy this preview! ♥

♕ Paciugopedia 3.0 ♕ Episode 12 ♕

Ciao Principesse e buon 1° Settembre ♥

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Nereid Make Up ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Quick post today to show you a look I made a while back to try out Nereide, one of the few shades from the Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics I didn't feel like it fit the collection's atmosphere. The look itself isn't really mermaid-like, nor is inspired by a mermaid. I went for something really simple and basic - I needed to become familiar with this shadow first, leaving experiments for next time.

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ H2O/Mako Mermaids Inspired Look ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

I've always wanted to create a H2O Just Add Water/Mako Mermaids inspired look (respectively, original series and spin-off). I loved both shows - no wonder, since their both mermaid themed - even though I highly prefer Mako Mermaids over H2O... So, I HAD to create a special look for them!
The Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics, recently launched, gave me the hint and inspiration to finally do it - thanks to one particular eyeshadow, which is not only perfect for this make up (I'll explain later why), but also has the same name of one of the H2O mermaids.
Did you guess what eyeshadow I'm talking about? Cleo, of course!

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Glamorous Mermaid Eyes ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Today's make up isn't inspired by a particular mermaid or an underwater environment, like the Treasure of a Mermaid look. It's a very simple and easy look, I used just a handful of eyeshadows - yet it's sophisticated and not complicated at all. Kind of a modern mermaid makeup, if you will, glamorous and unconventional.

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Mermaids of the Deep ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Today's mermaid look is inspired by deep sea creatures, who live in dark and mysterious waters - so I made a dark look, similar in terms of shades to the Dark Ariel Inspired Look I created last December, but different when it comes to finish and details.

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ The Treasure of a Mermaid ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Back to mermaid inspired look focused on the new Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics - this time with a makeup not quite inspired by a particular mermaid... But primarily on Cleo's and Under Pressure's descriptions: an hidden treasure the first, the deep sea the second

So this look it's inspired by a submerged treasure that shines underwater, jealously held by a mermaid in the deep of a mysterious abyss.

♕ Review ♕ Spectrum Collections ~ Siren Brush Set & Roll ♕

Let's get back into mermaid-themed-post, but not with a makeup look: it's review time! Today I'm going to review one of my favourite brush sets: the Siren Set (& Brush Roll) by Spectrum Collections

I've already introduced this set to you on January, with my first impressions post; I also did a comparison post between this and the Glam Clam brush set - which you can find here. But now, as I said before, it's time for an in-depth review! (Spoiler: on September Spectrum will launch their new mermaid inspired brush set - which I'm going to show you next week as a preview, lucky me! And I don't want those posts to pile up on each other XD)

Make yourselves comfortable, princesses: this is going to be a looong post!

♕ Paciugopedia 3.0 ♕ Episode 11 ♕

Ciao Principesse!

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Coral Reef Mermaid ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Third look featuring the new shadows from the Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics, which debuted on July 13th. After the Freshwater Mermaid eyes (here), let's go back to warm, tropical waters with this make up that features soft shapes and sparkly shades - inspired by a mermaid swimming around the Coral Reef.

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Freshwater Mermaid ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

Second look featuring the Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics, inspired of course by mermaids (I don't need to explain why, do I? XD). This time I used a completely different colour combination: my previous look featured bright, exotic shades, while I chose deeper and mysterious colour for this makeup.

♕ The Mermaid Series ♕ Tropical Mermaid ♕
{Feat. Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection}

It's been a while since I last posted something for The Mermaid Series, it's definitely time to get back on track! The debut of the new Mermaid Collection by NABLA Cosmetics is the right occasion for sure to start again with mermaid looks ;D
(Here's my post about the collection)

Once I got my fins on the new eyeshadows I started creating some total look right away. I used almost exclusively the newest shades - you have probably seen them already if you follow me on Instagram!

This is the very first total look I made using part of the Mermaid Collection: fit for a tropical, exotic mermaid, featuring warm and bright colours.

♕ Nabla Cosmetics ~ Mermaid Collection ♕
{English Version, Overview, Swatches, Considerations}

[Cerchi il post corrispondente in italiano? Clicca qui]

{Disclaimer: this post regards first impressions about a product sent for free to me by the brand. Thanks to NABLA Cosmetics for the opportunity, anyway my evaluation system doesn't change and is always based on real usage of the product.}

On July 13th NABLA Cosmetics released their new summer collection, inspired by mermaids: the Mermaid Collection! As you can imagine, to me this was the most awaited and desired collection ever.
I had the opportunity to get part of the collection (thanks once again to NABLA for trusting me) and I bought the remaining shades - so today's post will be an almost complete overview. I left out just a product (one of the blushes) because I was pretty sure it would end up unused.
This is going to be the longest post ever, I have so much to say about this mermaid-y collection!
